One afternoon this week, Jack was demanding to go outside and play.
So despite the fact that it was freezing out there, we got wrapped up and went out into the back garden.
While Jack investigated all the toys – and emptied the rain water and leaves out of them! – I started to tidy up.
We have recently had the side fence replaced so everything was a bit all over the place.
Whilst doing this, I came across the bottle containing the remainder of the bubble mix we had made in the summer – see here for our sunshiny bubble pics!
So we cracked it open and poured it into a big washing up bowl.
We fashioned a bubble wand from some string and 2 sticks. It took a whiĺe for me to work out that you needed to weight down one side of the string to get it to stay (roughly) in shape for making bubbles.
We used a fridge magnet that was lying on the floor and it worked perfectly.
There was a slight breeze which made it really easy to make the bubbles.
Rachel loved having a go as well, when she got home from school!
