Who knew that you could have so much fun with only a handful of household ingredients?
Here are the top 5 recipes we have used to make and do!
Every child loves to play with playdough! If your child(ren) are anything like mine, they don’t put it away properly and it dries out… So we go through playdough super quickly.
So we learnt how to make our own!
It is really easy and fun to make.
Recipe: 250g plain floour, 50g salt, 140ml water, 2 tablespoons oil.
Mix it all together and then add food colouring or paint to get your desired colour.
Giant bubbles are so much fun!
The bubble mixture recipe is:
1/2 cup cornflour, 6 cups warm water, 1/2 cup washing up liquid, 1 tbsp baking powder, 1 tsp glycerine.
Mix the flour and water and then add the other ingredients.
Then you need to leave it to rest for an hour or so.
We used coat hangers to make our giant bubbles.
Gloop is great for little ones to have some messy, sensory fun.
The recipe is another really simple one.
1/2 cup cornflour, 1/2 cup flour, 250ml water and paint to colour it.
This makes a bowl of super gloopy oobleck!
I never knew how easy it could be to make clay!
All you need is 2 parts cornflour, to one part pva glue.
Mix it all together and knead into a ball.
Then it is ready to make whatever you want!
Cloud dough had completely passed us by until we discovered it on pinterest and had a go ourselves…
Again it is another really simple 2 ingredient recipe.
All you need is
1 cup of baby oil/ veg oil/ bath oil
8 cups of flour.
You can also add food colouring to make different coloured dough.
It is great fun and has a much crumblier texture than normal playdough.
